KNOW THE TRUTH
It’s about time someone set you straight. People are blindly being lead
to believe the wrong things and expecting results based upon a program that just doesn’t work.
Enough!
Cardio alone does not help you lose fat! What it does do, is exercise your heart and lungs, training your cardio vascular system, one of 16 systems in your body. Cardio does burn fat calories in the body, but
only after burning carbohydrates in the blood stream. The longer you do cardio exercise, the highest percentage of fat that is burned during exercise. Cardio does little to increase your metabolism or help you to become a fat-burning machine.
Understand, that in a 24-hour period you are constantly burning calories. Even if you just woke up and sat on the edge of your bed for that length of time, you would be burning, roughly, around 1,200 to 1,400 cal. That’s because your nervous system, your digestive system and all the other different systems, are constantly working.
So, how do you burn fat?
By BUILDING MUSCLE! Strength training, hypertrophy training, and eating the right things to feed your muscles.
You see it’s, very simple, it is science, but not rocket science. Everyone can do it, young, old, male or female, the science doesn’t exclude anyone. Then why isn’t everyone doing the right thing?
Well, one reason, it’s hard. Another reason, a lot of Trainers don’t know what they’re doing. Yet an additional reason, commercialism has taken over and has been feeding us an unhealthy beast.
How it works
What you need to understand is that, your brain gives you a percentage of
muscle every time you push, pull, squat, hinge, twist or lunge. That’s why when you pick up an egg you do not crush it. Your brain understands, automatically, how much pressure to put on the egg without cracking or breaking it. You do not use all the muscles in your hand, obviously. Same thing applies when you pick up a 5 lb. dumbbell, you do not smash yourself in your face with it, because you’re not using all the muscles in your arm to lift the weight.
Right now, your muscle looks like a Delmonico steak, it’s great on the grill because it’s a very marbled piece of beef.
You want to make your muscle look like a Filet, a solid, lean, tight piece of meat. This is why there are different cuts of beef on a steer, based upon the driving forces and muscles engaged.
When we engage our muscles, your wonderful brain engages your nervous system which in turn, stimulates the muscle and makes it move. The whole goal of this action is to stimulate as much muscle fiber as we can, so with proper rest and nutrition, those fibers will recover and adapt (grow) getting ready for the next workout. The result is, as those fibers grow they will squeeze out the visceral fat in
the muscle, so, your muscle goes from a Delmonico steak (marbled meat) to a Filet (lean meat).
How does this help burn
fat?
Great Question, your heart has to become more efficient, pumping more blood and oxygen, creating more capillaries to a tighter, leaner muscle, now being engaged
and working for you.
Now you are a more efficient fat burning machine. Not only will the visceral
fat be squeezed out, but the subcutaneous fat will be burned off as fuel, thus a smaller waist, leaner body and clothes that fit better. All this happens even within a 24-hour period every day. Of course this includes eating properly and eating enough.
Remember in the beginning of this article we spoke about your ability to burn calories in a 24-hour period not doing anything based upon all your different systems working for you? Now, you are even more efficient at burning and that caloric number will rise. So, you see, you need calories, proteins, fats and carbs, to
be that lean, mean, fighting machine that you want to become.
Staying motivated is tough for
everyone, but a lot easier when you understand the process and start
seeing results.
